Ellerbee Takes ABC News Job
NEW YORK — Linda Ellerbee, best-selling author, talk-show celebrity and subject of a network tug of war, will return to being a television newswriter and anchor on Aug. 11, this time with ABC, the network announced today.
Ellerbee’s decision to accept ABC News’ offer instead of the “CBS Morning News” co-anchor job was widely reported last week, but ABC and Ellerbee waited until the expiration of NBC’s one-month option on her services to officially confirm her three-year contract. According to a published report, her annual salary will be $350,000.
