The second phase of the $250-million Crossroads Business Park in the City of Industry, a 230,000-square-foot structure featuring a six-story atrium, has been topped out and is scheduled for completion next spring.

Majestic Realty Co., developer of the park, near the intersection of the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway and the Pomona (60) Freeway, said the Crossroads Atrium is rising on 11 acres as two separate buildings connected by walkways and the climate controlled atrium. Exteriors will be of Roman travertine marble, and the area about the structure will include fountains, sculptures and a plaza.

The park’s initial 20-acre section has four buildings housing such tenants as Datagraphics, subsidiary of General Dynamics; E.I. duPont de Nemours & Co.; Reynolds Metal Co., Advanced Technology, Grubb & Ellis Co., the Bank of Industry and divisions of Squibb Medical Products and Bell & Howell.

Majestic envisions a five-year build-out for future phases of its business park which will include at least 18 buildings, restaurants, health fitness club, day-care center, travel agencies and other businesses essential to a multi-use park.

All of the structures are being designed and built by Commerce Construction Co. Inc., wholly-owned subsidiary of Majestic.
