A night training drill by Merced County Sheriff’s Special Weapons and Tactics Team suddenly became real when officers were asked to find a kidnaper. The 11 SWAT team members were practicing techniques of entering a house in the dark when a woman ran up to them and said a man had dragged her son away. The SWAT team fanned out, rescued the boy and captured Leodeganio Garcia Flores running through a peach orchard.
