Huntington Beach : Woman’s Body Found at Bolsa Chica Beach
Authorities Sunday were trying to identify an apparent drowning victim found in the surf at Bolsa Chica State Beach.
The victim, a Caucasian woman between 37 and 42 years old, was about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighed 128 pounds, Deputy Coroner Richard Slaughter said. She had reddish-brown hair and blue-gray eyes, and was wearing black leotard, he said.
The body washed ashore about a mile north of Golden West Street, where it was discovered by a passer-by about 8 p.m. Saturday, Slaughter said. An autopsy Sunday revealed no signs of violence or trauma to her body, Slaughter said, adding that she had not been dead long when she was found. Lab test results, which would show if the woman was intoxicated or under the influence of drugs, would not be available for several days, he said.
Anyone with information about the woman should call the coroner’s office at (714) 834-4392, Slaughter said.
