Beverly Hills Team Captures Senior Little League Title
The Beverly Hills baseball League’s all-star team of 13-year-old boys won the Southern California Senior Little League championship, finishing first among more than 300 squads.
The Beverly Hills contingent was led by pitcher D.J. Sutton.
Other players were Tony Ceazan, Adam Dave, Jason Goldberg, Nick Koskoff, Michael Markman, Jason Newman, Ian Shulman, Derron Smith, Brian and Mark Streams, Bryan Urda, Jason Weigold and Robby Welles.
John Melnik was the manager, and his coaches were Mark Iberri, Hugh Mangum and Jon Welch. Annie Foster Richter is president of the league.
