San Clemente Development Director to Resign
San Clemente’s community development director, Harry S. Weinroth, said Monday that he will resign to return to private business effective Sept. 12.
Weinroth, who has been community development director since August, 1982, has been in charge of the city’s building, planning, engineering and water and sewer divisions during a period of unprecedented growth.
He will leave, he said, “because I think it’s time for me to move on. There are other things that I would like to do.”
Weinroth, who lives in Laguna Niguel, said he will give up his $60,000-a-year position to return to private consulting in planning and redevelopment.
Assistant City Manager Greg Hulsizer said he will fill Weinroth’s position until a new director is hired.
