Anaheim : Man Stabbed in Home; Police Arrest Roommate
An Anaheim man was stabbed several times in the chest early Friday, and his roommate was later arrested near their home, police said.
The victim, identified by police as Gilberto Salgado, was reported in critical condition at UCI Medical Center, where relatives took him after the stabbing. Salgado, whose age officers estimated to be about 25, was wounded several times in the chest.
Octavio Torres Gil, about 22, was arrested and booked into Anaheim City Jail on suspicion of attempted murder, Sgt. Gordon Blair said. He said Gil was being held in lieu of $250,000 bail.
Blair said it appeared that the stabbing occurred at about 3:18 a.m. at the men’s home on Hampstead Circle. It has not been determined what triggered the stabbing, he said.
