Ferreira filed suit against Fabulous Inns.
Angered that a special shareholders meeting he called won’t be held until early January, Chula Vista investor Frank Ferreira filed suit in San Diego Superior Court to hold the meeting on Oct. 31. Ferreira, who owns nearly 30% of the San Diego-based hotel company’s stock, parted ways with current management following last month’s out-of-court settlement with an ousted group of executives. Ferreira has protested the terms of the settlement, most of which are under court seal. Company Chairman Jeffrey Krinsk said he was “surprised” by the lawsuit. “We previously supplied him with a date for the meeting and got no response indicating it was other than satisfactory.”
