After Belinda Carlisle’s colorful career with the Go-Go’s, after the magazine interviews in which she told about her dramatic campaign to overcome personal problems and after the radiance she projected in the promotional video for her “Mad About You” hit single, you’d think a video “profile” of the singer couldn’t help but be interesting. Yet there is little punch to the interviews or much of the concert footage. Whether the problem was too little budget or too little imagination, it’s hard to picture many of Carlisle’s fans being mad about “Belinda.”
