Giant icebergs were breaking off of the Alaskan glacier that turned a saltwater fiord into a growing freshwater lake and scientists believed the icy dam could burst, releasing all the trapped marine animals that were the target of an earlier rescue effort. There reportedly was no danger to nearby communities.
