Parkview Terrace Club, the largest multifamily complex in San Bernardino County, has been opened by its developers, the Los Angeles-based Gibraltar Community Builders.

The property, located on 40 acres at Barton Road and Alabama Avenue in Redlands, has 558 one- and two-bedroom units, recreational facilities including tennis courts, three swimming pools and a 5,000-square-foot executive clubhouse.

About 180 apartments already have been preleased, a record for Gibraltar, which owns and manages more than 4,000 units throughout the state.

Adjacent to the complex is a 10-acre municipal park, currently under development, that will include jogging trails, playgrounds and a natural amphitheater. Scheduled for completion in December, the park is a public/private partnership between Gibraltar Community Builders and the city of Redlands.

Corey M. Patick, the chief executive of Gibraltar Community Builders, which also designed the project, said his firm has contributed in excess of $200,000 and its expertise to develop the park, as a commitment to the community.

The 43 individual apartment buildings as well as the clubhouse are designed in a California contemporary style combining horizontal siding and glass, in addition to waterscapes that include a lake, fountains and ponds around the complex.

The focal point of the apartment community is the 5,800-square-foot executive clubhouse, believed to be the largest such facility in California. It includes a 1,000-square-foot fully mirrored weight room, two tanning rooms, three spas, television lounge, kitchen and game room.

Floor plans range from a 642-square-foot, one-bedroom, one-bath unit to a two-story, 1,116-square-foot, two-bedroom town-house apartment. All have a wood-burning fireplace, large patio or balcony and washer-dryer hookup. Rents range from $450 to $690 per month.
