Single-family home resales soared 15% last month.
September’s increase sent resales in California to their highest level in more than five years, the California Assn. of Realtors reported. Sales reached a seasonally-adjusted annual rate of 575,721. This compares to 500,849 in August and 443,545 for September, 1985. The resale figure shows a gain of 29.8% over last year’s same period.
