HAUNTED HOUSE RETURNS
The annual March of Dimes Haunted House has returned to Anaheim Plaza, 500 N. Euclid Ave. More than 450 March of Dimes volunteers have been involved in constructing and manning the Halloween-themed attraction, which features costumed actors and mechanized special effects.
John Haga, special events coordinator for the Orange County chapter of the March of Dimes, says chapter officials hope that by the time the attraction ends its run Sunday, it will have attracted 20,000 visitors. That would add up to about $60,000 for the nonprofit group, which is dedicated to preventing birth defects. For a donation of $4 for adults and $3 for children, visitors get a 20-minute guided tour of the haunted house. The attraction will be open 7 to 10 p.m. today, and 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
