Huntington Beach : Flyers Seek Information in Laura Bradbury Case
Thousands of flyers seeking information on the whereabouts of Laura Bradbury, the Huntington Beach child who disappeared two years ago, are being mailed to preschools and kindergartens across the country.
Lynda McGraw, a volunteer at the Laura Center, said friends and relatives of Laura believe that she was kidnaped and her abductors have enrolled her in school. “She did turn 5 in May, so she should be enrolled in school,” she said.
Last weekend, the first 5,500 of more than 80,000 flyers were mailed. They include a photograph of Laura at age 3, the last one taken before she was abducted, a composite sketch of what she may look like today and a $25,000 reward offer, McGraw said.
Despite donations for printing and envelopes, McGraw said the Laura Center still needs more money to send out all the flyers.
Laura was abducted on Oct. 18, 1984, from the Joshua Tree National Monument in San Bernardino County while on a family camping trip.
