The Region - News from Nov. 20, 1986
Los Angeles County citizens who want to serve on the 1987-1988 grand jury were given more time to apply. Superior Court Presiding Judge Thomas T. Johnson extended the application period from its original cutoff date of Nov. 21 to Dec. 5. Information on requirements for grand jury service and application forms are available to those who come in person to the Juror Services Division, 15th floor, Los Angeles County Hall of Records, or who send a stamped, self-addressed envelope to the Juror Services Division, at 320 W. Temple St., Los Angeles 90012. Grand jury duties include investigations of governmental honesty and efficiency and occasional consideration of evidence to determine whether accused people should be indicted for felonies.
