A storm brought deep snow to northern New Mexico and rains to the south, into Texas. Rain and snow flurries were scattered across western Oklahoma, eastern New Mexico and southern Colorado. Ahead of the cold front, thunderstorms struck in eastern Texas, Louisiana and southeastern Arkansas. A Pacific storm brought high winds and locally heavy rain to western Washington and Oregon. Floodwaters from northwest Washington’s Nooksack River washed out a road, stranding about 1,000 people at a ski resort.
