South African-born track star Zola Budd, barred...
South African-born track star Zola Budd, barred from last summer’s Commonwealth Games because she had not lived in Britain long enough, will reside permanently in her adopted country when she returns from a visit to her homeland, according to press reports in London.
Budd, 20, is expected to return in 1987 and link up with a new British coach, ending her long association with South African coach Peter Labuschagne.
The new coach, Harry Wilson, also coaches British middle distance runner Steve Ovett.
