Family Service Adds $160,000 to Fund to Relocate Building
MONROVIA — The Santa Anita Family Service has raised $160,000 of the $280,000 it needs to buy and renovate a building that will allow it to consolidate services in one location.
Escrow is scheduled to close Dec. 14 on the building at 605 S. Myrtle Ave.
The nonprofit agency, which serves Arcadia, Monrovia and Duarte, provides help to senior citizens, teen-agers and families and operates an outpatient drug rehabilitation center.
Currently these services are provided at four locations in Monrovia with general counseling at 143 E. Foothill Blvd.
