Bush Unable to Buy Plot at Full Cemetery
United Press International
KENNEBUNKPORT, Me. — Lack of space in a cemetery means that even Vice President George Bush must go on a waiting list to buy a plot.
Bush, a lifelong summer resident of this coastal resort town, recently asked about reserving a plot at Arundel Cemetery but was told there was no room for him--or anyone else.
Residents have been lobbying the town selectmen for more than a year to take charge of the cemetery from the family that maintains it and clear more land for plots.
