Alhambra : Site for Historical Museum
The City Council has authorized its staff to prepare an agreement that will lease city property at Alhambra Road and Bushnell Avenue to the Alhambra Historical Society as a museum site.
City Manager Kevin Murphy said the society plans to move a donated building onto the property and install a collection of historical memorabilia.
The city will lease the property to the society for $1 a year.
Murphy said the city property was acquired with plans to dig a water well or build a reservoir, but a recently completed water master plan indicates that neither will be needed soon.
