The body of a man was found in a burned out business block in Inglewood seven hours after firefighters put out the last flames, Inglewood fire officials said. Five other persons, including three small children, were injured as they escaped from a second-floor apartment. One of the injured, a 21-year-old woman, broke a wrist while dropping to the street from a window. Battalion Chief Robert Brown said it was not known what the unidentified dead man was doing in the building when he apparently was trapped by the flames. Damage to the three stores and upstairs apartment was estimated at $450,000. Brown said the fire’s cause was “suspicious.”
