Irvine’s Willet Wins in Junior Tennis

Julie Willet of Irvine captured the girls’ 18 division of the Fiesta Bowl Junior Tennis Championships Saturday in Scottsdale, Ariz., when Debbie Graham of Fountain Valley dropped out of the match because of an injury.

Graham had suffered an ankle sprain during the closing moments of a semifinal 7-5, 6-2 victory Tuesday over Iwalani McCaula of Los Altos. Willet made it all all-Orange County final by beating Carrie Crisell of Huntington Beach, 6-3, 6-3.
