Orange County Prep Soccer : Tustin Beats Laguna Beach on Alexander’s Goal
Matt Alexander scored on a cross kick off a Scott Feldman assist five minutes into the game Tuesday to lead Tustin High School past Laguna Beach, 1-0, in a nonleague boys’ soccer match at Laguna Beach High School.
Tustin goalie Tim Kotlar had eight saves as he recorded his fourth shutout for the Tillers (6-3-1). Laguna Beach’s Rick Johnson had 11 saves.
In other boys’ matches:
Bolsa Grande 7, Magnolia 3--Fernando Cueva scored three goals and his brother Jose scored two as the Matadors (1-6) won a nonleague game. Magnolia is 2-5-1.
In girls’ matches:
El Dorado 4, Katella 0--Whitney Nelson scored two goals, and Shelley Piper and Nichole Eyre each added one as the Golden Hawks (1-2, 1-4-1) shut out Katella in an Empire League game.
Dana Hills 1, Laguna Hills 1--Shelly Walker scored 15 minutes into the game for Laguna Hills (10-0-3) at Dana Hills High School. Helen Crowe scored in the second half for the Dolphins (9-3-1). Crowe’s goal was the first Laguna Hills has allowed this season.
