RTD ROUTE CHANGES

RTD will reroute 33 bus lines operating in downtown Los Angeles beginning Sunday to clear the way for construction of the Metro Rail subway station at 7th and Flower streets.

The lines affected operate primarily on 7th Street between Union and San Pedro; Flower between Temple and 11th; Figueroa between 7th and Temple, and Wilshire Boulevard eastbound between Hope and Figueroa.

The downtown route changes will affect an estimated 50,000 RTD boardings on weekdays, 38,000 on Saturdays and 23,000 on Sundays.

These are the changes:

Lines 20 (Wilshire Boulevard), (Wilshire Boulevard-UCLA) and 22 (Wilshire Boulevard-Century City-Brentwood): Eastbound--From Wilshire, right on Grand Avenue, left on 7th, continue regular route. Westbound--South on Wall Street, right on 8th, right on Figueroa, left on Wilshire, continue regular route.

Line 26 (7th Street-Virgil Avenue-Franklin Avenue): Eastbound--From 7th, right on Union Avenue, left on 8th/9th, left on Olive, right on 7th, continue regular route. Westbound--From 7th, left on San Pedro, right on 8th, right on Union, left on 7th, continue regular route. Westbound, service from Wall Street--right on 8th, right on Union, left on 7th, continue regular route.

Line 38 (L.A.-West Jefferson Boulevard): Northbound--From Jefferson Boulevard, left on Hill, left on Olive, right on 7th, continue regular route. Southbound--From San Pedro, right on 8th, left on Grand, continue regular route. Southbound, service from Wall Street--Right on 8th, left on Grand, continue regular route.

Line 51 (Compton Boulevard-Avalon Boulevard-San Pedro Street-West 7th Street): Eastbound--From 7th, right on Union, left on 9th, left on Olive, right on 7th, continue regular route. Westbound--From San Pedro, left on 8th, right on Union, left on 7th, continue regular route.

Lines 60 (Santa Fe Avenue-Long Beach Boulevard) and 61 (Tweedy Boulevard-Rancho Los Amigos): Northbound--From 7th, left on Spring/Main, right on 11th to layover zone east of Georgia Street. Southbound--From 11th Street layover zone, right on Georgia, right on Olympic, left on Olive, right on 7th, continue regular route.

Line 81 (Figueroa Street): Northbound--From Figueroa, right on 9th, left on Broadway, left on Ord, right on Hill, continue regular route. Southbound--From Hill, right on 8th, left on Hope, right on 11th, left on Figueroa, continue regular route.

Lines 320 (Wilshire Boulevard Limited) and 322 (Wilshire Boulevard-Century City-via Brentwood-Limited). Eastbound--From Wilshire,

right on Grand, left on 7th, continue regular route. Westbound--From Wall, right on 8th, right on Figueroa, left on Wilshire, continue regular route.

Line 351 (San Pedro Street-Avalon Boulevard Limited): Eastbound, service from Francisco Street--From Francisco, left on 9th, left on Olive, right on 7th, continue regular route. Westbound, service from Francisco--From San Pedro, left on 8th, left on Francisco to layover zone.

Line 360 (Long Beach Boulevard Limited): Northbound--From 7th, left on Spring/Main, right on 11th to layover zone east of Georgia Street. Southbound--From 11th, right on Georgia, right on Olympic, left on Olive, right on 7th, continue regular route.

Line 419 (L.A.-Mission Hills-Granada Hills-Chatsworth Express): Northbound--From Figueroa, right on 9th, left on Broadway, left on Ord, right on Hill, continue regular route. Southbound--From Hill, right on 8th, left on Hope, right on 11th, left on Figueroa, continue regular route.

Line 423 (L.A.-Woodland Hills-Westlake Express): Northbound--Figueroa, right on 4th, left on Flower (contra-flow lane), right on 1st, left on Grand to Temple, continue regular route. Southbound--From Temple to Hope/Flower, left on 6th, right on Hope, right on 11th, left on Figueroa, continue regular route.

Line 426 (L.A.-Wilshire Boulevard-San Fernando Valley Express): Eastbound--From Wilshire, right on Grand, left on 7th, continue regular route. Westbound--From Wall, right on 8th, right on Figueroa, left on Wilshire, continue regular route.

Line 427 (L.A.-Warner Center-Canoga Park Express): Northbound--From Figueroa, right on 4th, left on Flower (contra-flow lane), right on 1st, left on Grand Avenue to Temple, continue regular route. Southbound--Temple to Hope/Flower, left on 6th, right on Hope, right on 11th, left on Figueroa, continue regular route.

Lines 430 (L.A.-Pacific Palisades-via Sunset Boulevard Express), 431 (L.A.-Westood), 434 (L.A.-Santa Monica-Malibu-Trancas Express), 436 (L.A.-Venice Boulevard Express), 437 (L.A.-Marina del Rey Express), 438 (L.A.-Culver Boulevard-Manhattan Beach Express), 439 (L.A.-LAX-Redondo Beach Express): Northbound--From 18th, left on Olive, left on 8th, right on Figueroa, right on 4th, left on Flower (contra-flow lane), continue regular route. Southbound--From Flower, left on 6th, right on Grand to 9th, continue regular route.

Lines 445 (L.A.-Alpine Village-San Pedro Park ‘n’ Ride Express) and 448 (L.A.-Palos Verdes Peninsula Express): Northbound--From Figueroa, right on 4th, left on Flower (contra-flow Lane), continue regular route. Southbound--From Flower, left on 6th, right on Hope, right on 11th, left on Figueroa, continue regular route.

Lines 460 (L.A.-Norwalk via Disneyland Express) and 462 (L.A.-Norwalk-via Santa Fe Springs Express): No change eastbound. Westbound: From 5th, left on Grand, right on 11th to layover zone just west of Figueroa.

Line 464 (L.A.-Fullerton-Los Angeles Park ‘n’ Ride Express): No change eastbound. Westbound, service from Flower and 6th--From 5th, left on Flower, left on 6th.

Line 481 (Wilshire-El Monte-W. Covina Express): No change westbound. Eastbound--From Wilshire, left on Bixel, right on 6th, left on Figueroa, continue regular route.

Line 495 (L.A.-Rowland Heights-Diamond Bar Park ‘n’ Ride Express): Eastbound--From Figueroa, right on 4th, left on Flower (contra-flow lane), continue regular route. Westbound--From Flower, left on 6th, right on Hope to 9th.

Line 497 (L.A.-Pomona-Montclair Park ‘n’ Ride Express): Eastbound--From Wilshire, left on Bixel, right on 6th, left on Figueroa, right on 4th, left on Flower (contra-flow lane), continue regular route.
