Rice basketball Coach Tommy Suitts, whose Owls have managed only a 63-99 record over the last six seasons, announced that he is resigning at the school’s request. Assistant coach Greg Walcavich will serve as the interim coach.
The Owls are 1-7 in Southwest Conference play and 7-12 overall this season.
