Cal State Fullerton 48, Fresno State 47--Stacey Hunt made a 30-foot desperation shot with five seconds remaining to lift the Titans to victory in Titan Gym.

Fullerton held a 29-26 halftime lead, but Fresno State outscored the Titans, 17-3, early in the second half and led by as many as 11. Fullerton rallied on the strong outside shooting of sophomore point guard Sheryl Jones, who led the Titans with 15 points.

Fullerton (6-6, 9-12) took the lead, 46-45, with 2:11 remaining on a Hunt 23-footer, but Fresno State regained the led with 53 seconds remaining on a basket by Laurie Heinrichs, who led the Bulldogs with 15 points. Fresno State (10-4, 18-5) is ranked 21st in the nation by USA Today.

Nevada Las Vegas 79, UC Irvine 60--Senior Angela Christian, a Lynwood High School graduate, scored 30 points to lead UNLV (9-4, 15-7). Cheryl Hoffman scored 15 and Natalie Crawford and Kippie Brown each had 12 for Irvine (7-6, 11-12)
