Irvine : Motorcyclist Injured in Collision With Car
An 18-year-old Irvine motorcyclist was seriously injured at 12:30 p.m. Friday when he collided with a car on Barranca Parkway, near West Yale Loop.
Irvine police said John Jason Raymond was taken to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana with “serious” chest and hand injuries. Officers said Raymond was riding his motorcycle east on Barranca when a car left the Stonecreek Plaza Shopping Center. The car, driven by James Gorectki, 52, of Irvine, was making a left turn to go west on Barranca, officers said. Gorectki was not injured, police said.
No citations were issued pending further investigation, officers said.
