Barcelona Olympics Plan Protested by Catalan Separatists

BARCELONA, Spain — A Barcelona bank that helped the city win its bid to host the 1992 Olympics became the target of Catalan separatists armed with silicone.
The Tierra Lliure (Free Land) said it blocked the keyholes on doors to 50 branches of the Banco Hispano Americano because the games will be more Spanish than Catalan.
The bank said several branches opened late Friday morning.
