COLUMBIA, Mo. — Law enforcement officers on Saturday flew over trails and recreation areas frequented by a chemistry lab technician at the University of Missouri who is wanted for questioning in the slayings of his estranged wife and two teen-aged stepchildren.
The statewide hunt for Jimmie D. Brechbuhler, 50, of Columbia began after firefighters, battling a fire at Brechbuhler’s home, found the bodies Friday afternoon.
All three victims had been shot before the fire was set at the one-story home just outside the city limits, police said.
