Pasadena : 5 Vie for PCC Presidency
The Board of Trustees of Pasadena City College this week is interviewing five candidates for the college presidency, and is expected to announce its choice next Thursday.
The finalists in the nationwide search to replace John W. Casey include a PCC assistant superintendent, Bonnie R. James, who heads the college’s administrative services and formerly was head of business and finance. Other candidates are Arthur W. DeCabooter, president of Scottsdale Community College in Scottsdale, Ariz.; Jack Scott, president of Cypress College in Orange County; Lawrence W. Tyree, president of Gulf Coast Community College in Panama City, Fla., and Patricia L. Wirth, superintendent/president of Yuba Community College District in Marysville, Calif.
