Valley Federal will have a 2-for-1 stock split.
The Van Nuys-based savings and loan declared a 100% stock dividend to be issued April 30 to shareholders of record March 31. Valley Federal has $2.7 billion in assets, and has seen its stock rise from $23.75 a share on Jan. 2 to $35.75 at Thursday’s close. A spokesman said the split was declared in an effort to make the stock more liquid.
