Cost-cutting at ABC News may take chief European correspondent Pierre Salinger out of Paris. The New York Times said Tuesday that network officials are studying the possibility of reducing the Paris bureau staff of 25 by more than half and relocating Salinger, possibly to London. Salinger--once press secretary to President John F. Kennedy--has worked for ABC in Paris for the last 10 years. ABC spokesmen were unavailable for comment on the report.
