French actress Brigitte Bardot announced Tuesday she will auction some of her jewelry and personal souvenirs, like dresses she wore in films, to raise funds for her animal welfare campaigns. Speaking for Bardot, auctioneer Jacques Tajan said the Paris sale set for June 17 would include a diamond valued at between $164,000 and $246,000. Bardot will also sell photographs and paintings of herself, with the proceeds of the sale being used to set up a Brigitte Bardot foundation for animal welfare.
