Man Arrested in Brother’s Death
A Garden Grove man was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter in connection with the death of his brother after the two apparently fought during a weekend trip to Lake Tahoe to attend their sister’s wedding, an El Dorado County Sheriff’s Department spokesman said Tuesday.
Casey Craig, 26, was arrested after his brother, David, 33, also of Garden Grove, was found dead in a van early Monday morning by his girlfriend, officials said.
Police said that the brothers had been drinking and arguing at the wedding Sunday in South Lake Tahoe and that as they traveled in the van back to Tahoma, a community on the north side of the lake, a fight broke out between the two.
David Craig passed out, and his brother left him in the van thinking he was asleep, the spokesman said. The Sheriff’s Department refused to release the cause of death.
Casey Craig was released from custody after posting a $20,000 bond.
