Solvents Cleared From Lot: The county Environmental Health Hazardous Materials team and city firefighters were called out Friday to supervise cleanup of a quantity of paint thinner and residue found on a vacant lot at 1499 Monrovia Ave. Fire Department spokeswoman Kelly Bruyn said 20 five-gallon drums were found, although most were empty. One truck company, one engine and one paramedic unit stood by while a private disposal company was contacted to remove the substances, Bruyn said.
