Doubles Team From Chapman Loses First Match

Paul Wekesa and Barry Hancock of Chapman College were eliminated from the NCAA Division I individual tennis tournament when they lost their preliminary-round doubles match Tuesday at Athens, Ga.

Hancock and Wekesa, winners of the Division II doubles title, lost to Pat Crow and Kevin Gillette of Cal State Long Beach State, 6-3, 6-7, 7-5.
