CSUN 4th After 1st Day of Division II Golf Final
COLUMBUS, Ga. — Tony Chieffo and Wayne Tyni each shot one-under-par 71 to lead Cal State Northridge to fourth place after the first round of the NCAA Division II men’s golf championships Tuesday at the par-72, 6,840-yard Bull Creek Golf Course.
Jeff Leonard of the University of Tampa shot five-under-par 67 to lead the individual competition. Chieffo and Tyni are tied for fourth.
Tampa shot two-under-par 286 to lead the team competition. Florida Southern was second at 288, followed by UC Davis at 289 and CSUN at 290.
