‘ISHTAR’: BOOS & !!!!!!

Please hasten to assure Arnie Meissner (Calendar Letters, May 24) that there is absolutely no truth to the rumor that “Ishtar” is the Egyptian word meaning “Howard the Duck.”

“Ishtar” is, in cold linguistic fact, the Aramaic word for “Heaven’s Gate.”
