Cypress College students gave high marks to the community college in a recent questionnaire evaluating the campus.

Students gave an overall 3.03 rating to the college and its services, based on a scale where 4.0 is the highest possible rating, said Don Bedard, vice president of student services.

The college’s library services and facilities received the highest score of 3.29. The lowest score went to campus parking, which received a 2.32.

“We’re extremely pleased that the students see us as a very good institution,” said Bedard, whose office conducted the evaluation. Bedard noted that the last such campus survey was made in 1984. He said the 1987 evaluation indicated that services improved or stayed the same in 47 areas out of 52 surveyed.

College officials said a representative sample of 1,854 of the community college’s 13,637 students took part in the survey. The total consisted of 1,205 day students and 649 evening students.
