Princess Royal Will Visit Laos

LONDON — Princess Anne, one of the most-traveled members of Britain’s Royal Family, will break new ground later this year by becoming the first of her family to visit the secretive communist-run country of Laos, Buckingham Palace announced today.
Princess Anne, recently given the title Princess Royal in recognition of her work as president of the Save the Children Fund charity, will visit Laos in November as part of a 12-day tour which also includes Thailand, Burma and Singapore.
