‘Ladies’ Helps NBC Win Again
NEW YORK — A Monday-night movie strategy aimed at women viewers continues to work for NBC, which added another show to the top 10 and won the week in the A. C. Nielsen Co. ratings announced today.
“The Ladies” ran against ABC’s Monday-night baseball and landed in seventh place. For the prime-time week ending June 28, NBC had an average rating of 12.5 for its 22nd win in a row. CBS had a 10.8 and ABC 9.8. For the fifth week in a row, “CBS Evening News” finished third as “NBC Nightly News” extended its winning streak to 11 weeks. ABC’s “World News Tonight” was in second place for a fifth week.
