Traffic Problems
I noticed with interest some of the proposals set forth by Mayor Bradley (June 19) to solve our traffic congestion, such as increasing fines for traffic violations; limiting the times when trucks could use the streets to make deliveries; extra fees for truckers who use the streets during rush hours.
It is ironic that after a crisis occurs due to the inaction of our political leadership, they turn to punishing the people as a solution to the problem.
Mayor Bradley’s proposals are typically political. On the surface they appear to offer a solution, but upon deeper examination they constitute harassment of the citizens.
