Fire Loss Put at $350,000: Fire investigators Thursday estimated the loss at $350,000 in the blaze that gutted the P.G.M. Metal Products Co., a metal processing firm. The cause of Wednesday’s fire remains unknown, a fire spokeswoman said, because city officials condemned the building and no one could enter the property in the 900 block of North Batavia Street. The loss was limited to the P.G.M. plant and its contents, the fire spokeswoman said.
