North and Poindexter have demonstrated supreme contempt of democracy and the democratic processes. How can a few military men in the National Security Council make and carry out policy while flouting our laws and accounting to no one? Is the next step a coup d’etat and government by junta?
I think Americans should be alarmed, and the President should make every effort to assure us that he, not the military, is in control and fully accountable to us, the electorate.
