Shortstop Buddy Biancalana, one of the heroes of the Kansas City Royals’ 1985 World Series victory, was optioned to the team’s Triple-A Omaha farm club. Biancalana was hitting .213 this season in 47 games with the Royals, who are using Angel Salazar at shortstop.
