Gov. Deukmejian’s Cuts on Health and School Funds
The Gann Amendment (limiting state spending), passed overwhelmingly by the people of California in 1979, is certainly not the only bad law ever to be passed in this state.
Our governor is not elected to make these laws. However, our Constitution states that he will carry them out.
I suggest we stop “Duke bashing” and place the blame where it belongs--upon ourselves, our decisions at the polling booth and upon the state legislators we elect.
