Malaysian Trafficker Is Sentenced to Hang

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — A Malaysian court sentenced a foundry worker to hang for trafficking in 4.8 pounds of morphine, the national news agency reported Monday.
Justice Edgar Joseph Jr. of the High Court of Penang said he had to impose the death sentence on 32-year-old Chong Boo See because of the seriousness of the offense. Malaysia made death mandatory for drug traffickers in 1983.
