Hahn--’It’s Good to Be Back’
Los Angeles County Supervisor Kenneth Hahn, known for staging colorful news conferences, returned to the board room for the first time today since suffering a stroke in January and was surrounded by reporters.
“It’s good to be back,” Hahn said, entering in his wheelchair from a rear door. “Some guys said I would never be back . . . and here I am back. But it’s not only for me. Everybody who has a stroke can come back.” The 66-year-old supervisor, who first took office in 1952, spoke haltingly, the result of the stroke he suffered Jan. 11 while attending a civic function in El Segundo.
