Tommie Cochrane, a resident of Thousand Oaks since 1959 has been elected president of the Community Leaders Club of California Lutheran University. She is manager of the Malibu branch of Bank of America, and has served on the Conejo Valley Historical Society, the Thousand Oaks High School Scholarship Foundation, the Conejo Youth Employment Agency and other community projects. John Crossman is vice president and Burt von Bieberstein is treasurer. The 400-member club is a financial and academic support group for the university. This year their fund-raising efforts will go toward furnishing the Science Center, scheduled for completion in the fall of 1988.
