CS Northridge Soccer Team Defeats San Diego State in OT, 3-2
Alberto Flores made an impressive debut for the Cal State Northridge soccer team Saturday night at North Campus Stadium, scoring the winning goal in overtime to give the Matadors a 3-2 come-from-behind victory over San Diego State.
Flores’ unassisted goal came at the five-minute mark of the first of two 10-minute overtime periods.
It was the second of the match for the native of Bogota, Colombia, who redshirted last year after transferring from Glendale College.
San Diego State forward Eric Wynalda, the Southern Section 4-A player of the year at Westlake High in 1986, gave SDSU a 1-0 lead at the 3:54 mark.
